I have been interested in my family history ever since my grandmother handed me her grandmother's diary from 1885 and said, "you may want to read this"... I read it and was hooked. From there, she took me on a family history journey that included a local cemetery where her family (10 of them) were buried. Thus began my love of cemeteries and a desire to chronicle the final resting places of my ancestors and relatives (and some friends, too).|
Having previously benefited from the generosity of photo volunteers on Find-a-Grave, I decided to pay it forward... and have begun to serve as a photo volunteer, myself, here in the Los Angeles area. I have come to know the local cemeteries well, and enjoy helping others locate and photograph the grave markers of their own family members.
If I have posted a memorial for a relative of yours, I will be happy to transfer it to you as long as I am not more directly related. I also grant general permission to use the photos I have taken and posted on this site - they belong to all.
Researching the following family names:
(all names in my direct line)
As well as:
(names that spun off from my direct line and created many additional relatives).

You have memorials that overlap with someone else who entered them a year after you. Hers have family links whereas yours have photos. Perhaps you can coordinate with her to get these combined into one? It's affecting how I link two of their sons. Thanks! Here are the two memorial numbers.

Hi Jim - I neglected to take a long shot photo of their headstone - I'll take one the next time I'm at the cemetery. Jim
|Sue (Bateman) Matthews||Roy Frederick Bishop (again)|
Oops, I forgot the other sister:
Maude Claire "Maudie" Bishop, Memorial # 37902700
|Sue (Bateman) Matthews||Roy F. Bishop Memorial # 112182832|
Roy Frederick Bishop is the brother of my paternal grandmother Elsie Bishop Bateman, Memorial # 22502975. They had another sister Della M. Bishop, Memorial # 82213921.
I have already requested that their parents be added to Roy's memorial.
I am actively researching the Bishop and Bateman families who lived in Columbia County, WA. Some moved to Oregon.
Please contact me if you have interest in these families and would like to share information.

Your very welcome.
|Amy Nugent||Laura and Charley Shepeard|
Thank you so much for the photo of the headstone for Laura Shepeard and her son Charley. Laura is my 2nd great grandmother and I've been looking for her burial place for years. To see her stone brought tears to my eyes. Thanks so much!
|Kathy Holland, Gates to the Past Genealogy||Schur family at Eden Memorial|
Just uploaded your requests for the Schur family at Eden Memorial.
I also found and added Helene N. Schur (1908-1994). She is buried next to John.
I visited Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs, Colorado and photographed the crypt marker for Gwen Glynn. I have added the photo to her memorial.
