Bio

I live in Oregon and started my genealogy hobby in 1976. That lasted for less than a year, and then I started again in the winter of 1998.

"The Final Act Of Love Is To Remember."

EMAILS to me: Please...NO ATTACHMENTS with your Emails. I'm still using a Dial-Up internet and email account, with a very short window of time to download my email messages. A large attachment chokes up, and stops the download of all the emails I'm receiving from the que. Please contact me first if you have something you'd like to send as an attachment, and we can possibly work something out.

EDITS: I will process Edits as soon as I am able. If I can't confirm Edit information, through documentation and or sources, I won't accept them. I don't believe everything on the internet is correct, especially if it doesn't show the sources and documentation. Not all information typed or written in documents is always accurate. If I find conflicting information, multiple answers to the same question, and can't determine which answer is correct, I won't accept the Edit.

MY PHOTOS: I try to use the best possible photo on memorials because I know how important it is to be able to read all the text on the marker. If anyone would like to use any of my photos, please contact me for permission.

TRANSFERS: For those memorials that are not of my family, please contact me, and include your member name & member number, the name on the memorial, the memorial number, and how you are related.

Please Note: The "Last Residence" on the Social Security Death Index is not always where the person died, but might be where the last benefit check was sent.

My family surnames:
Direct Paternal: Fenter, Hardage (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri). 1800's. Collateral Paternal: Allen, Bray, Cain, Doudy/Dawdy, Hardage, Hughes, Tanner.
Direct Maternal: Campbell, Steele (Kansas, Missouri, North & South Carolina, Pennsylvania). 1800's. Collateral Maternal: Anderson, Bailey, Chamberlin, Cook/Koch, Cordon, Drake, Duff, Hart, Hillhouse, Holmes, Montgomery, Myers, Stanley, Williams.
