I stumbled upon Find A Grave when I was using Ancestry.com and decided that this was something I would enjoy doing. So, my latest hobby was born. I enjoy going to cemeteries and taking photos to upload to this site. Others have done the same for me. It means the world to me to be able to see the grave sites of those who came before me.Through research I have discovered that about 17 or so generations back on my father's side, I have 2 Princes of Wales and a King of Wales in my lineage. I have also found Bairds in Scotland in my line as well. Recently I connected with a distant cousin through this site and was able to find out some amazing things about my father's family. I am researching the Ross family of Shubert, Nebraska primarily. I am also interested in the Parent family of Ascension Parish, Louisiana as well."The Chosen"We are the chosen. In each family there is one (or more) who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again. To tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes (hopefully) have at least one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves.Source:http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~instjose/
