RE: place of birth
I was asking about "Place" of birth, not the date of birth..sorry. Do you have any info on the "place" of birth that shows on the profile for him?

Thank you.

No there are no memorials for his parents but I thought you might add a note to bio about parents. Thanks for your efforts.

RE: Viola Davis Memorial 126911452
I do not know where Willis and Lue Davis are buried. I searched for their death certificates but did not find them. Viloa’s death certificate named a funeral home, but that was in 1917. The funeral home is no longer in business. The problems you described are not unusual. People confuse Greenwood Cemetery in Dallas with Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Incorrectly assuming a person was buried in a cemetery associated with a funeral home happens when someone does not read the obituary carefully.

RE: Viola Davis Memorial 126911452
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. First of all, I discovered I had misspelled the first name. I have corrected it to Viloa, which is the name on the death certificate. You raise an interesting and valid question about the cemetery. The death certificate says Viloa was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery. It does not say what county the cemetery was in. On Find A Grave the introduction page for Rest Haven Memorial Park says “Also known as Resthaven Cemetery.” Since the only Rest Haven Cemetery listed on Find A Grave near Dallas County is the one in Rockwall, I placed her memorial there. I had no way of knowing Rest Haven Memorial Park cemetery was not in existence in 1917 when Viloa died. So, where was Rest Haven Cemetery in 1917? I have examined over 4,000 Dallas County death certificates (pre-1950) and I have never seen Rest Haven Cemetery on a death certificate except Viloa’s. Normally on a Dallas County death certificate when the burial was outside of Dallas County, the name of the city was added to the name of the cemetery (example: Greenwood Cemetery, Waco). Following this usual practice, one would think Rest Haven was in Dallas County since there was no indication on the death certificate it was not. Since there is no Rest Haven Cemetery in Dallas County, and Rockwall County is near the Garland area of Dallas County, I thought the Rest Haven Cemetery in Rockwall was probably the burial place. But, according to your information it could not be. I have revised the text on the memorial to address the mystery and placed it as an unknown burial location for now.
