Bio

I was born and raised in Indiana. I'm a graduate of Greencastle High School and St. Anthony School of Nursing in Terre Haute, Indiana. I was a Captain in the Army Nurses' Corps. and was station in Hawaii (GOOD DUTY). I married my sargent, Emile (I call him Rick). After Rick retiered we returned to Indiana and started a family. We have one son,Shane, and one daughter,Tracy. Now I have one beautiful grand-daughter, she is the apple of my eye. Recently, we sold our home and moved to St. Cloud, Florida. Now we are on vacation everyday.

When I found "Find a grave" I just fell in love with it. Now that I am retiered, it gives my life purpose. I feel that everyone that is put on this earth has seved a purpose and that their life should be remembered.

In Feb. 2008 I was diagnosis with Lung Cancer of both lungs and three noles in the center of my chest. They gave me six months to a year to live.
It is now the end of Aug. 2008, I'm on Chemo and I'm doing fine. The only bad effects are I sleep a lot, can't remember things and can't concentrate. All in all I'm a very lucky person and I thank God for that.
