I've been working on tracing my family tree on my father's side for many years while my sister has been tracing my mother's side.

Having a rare last name can be a benefit but also a hindrance, since before the internet there were very few public records available to help you track your lineage.

Locating a possible family member's grave and obituary can be of great help and I've received quite a bit of information from "Find a Grave".

That is why I became a contributor. One, as a way to thank all the other people who have listed burials on this site and two, hoping I can help other genealogists trying to trace their roots.

I have been trying to add obituaries and other important information to my listings whenever possible but prior to 2000 they are hard to come by so if anyone has anything to add please feel free to contact me.
