One of my main goals for the upcoming year will be to complete the 700+ entries added via spreadsheet for Rest Haven Cemetery. You are welcome to send edits but I will be completing these as I locate records to fill in the missing information, link families, and correct the dates of death which are currently listed from the cemetery records as dates of burial. Thank you for your patience.

PLEASE do not take my photos (family pictures or grave photos) and use elsewhere, especially Ancestry, without my permission. There's personal family photos I've never even uploaded to Ancestry but have ONLY placed on Find A Grave that have been taken and put on other's Ancestry trees, and they aren't even related to us!! Really??????

Much of my work is from "mowing the rows" in our local cemeteries or in those that are special to me when I get a chance to visit. I try to be very thorough in what I do post to this site. My favorite part of contributing to Find A Grave is walking the cemeteries and taking photos. I also utilize available records for my entries and hope to either photograph later myself or have other contributors photograph these graves, as I have photographed theirs. ACCURATE cemetery documentation is very important, and this is why I do what I do.
.
I love to research and link families, and add biographical information - please use the Edit tab and send me any information you would like to have added, and I will add based on the rules for bios set in the Find A Grave FAQ's, which includes rewriting obituary information facts so as not to violate copyright (pre-1923 obits excluded).
.
PLEASE carefully check the cemetery in which you want to list a memorial (it doesn't hurt to quickly check the county too) BEFORE you list it, as one may already exist for that person. Duplicate memorials for the same person, ("Dupes"), whether accidental or intentional, are not allowed by F-A-G. Duplicates erode the quality of this site and are problematic for many reasons. I will send you a friendly SAC if I see one.
.
It is very sad that quite a few contributors continue to misuse this site and post entries as permanent BURIAL UNKNOWN, both recent deaths and those 100 years ago or more.
This is Find A GRAVE, not a memorial site for generations of folks who have passed on and we do not know where they are buried, or for certain what happened to their remains.
.
I do not add entries for those with unknown dispositions (Burial Unknown) to Find A Grave. I also will not link my managed memorials to those without proper dispositions. Please do not link any BURIAL UNKNOWN entries to the memorials I manage; I will request the links to be removed if I become aware they have been linked.
.
PLEASE realize this is a GRAVES REGISTRATION SITE, not a place for you to build your family tree :) If you do not know where the person was buried, or the final disposition of the remains, you should not be listing the person on FIND A GRAVE.

The most recent FAQ's regarding the purpose of this site:
What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

Find a Grave memorials may contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can leave remembrances via 'virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.

Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family, friends, and 'famous' individuals.

.
Find A Grave is definitely a genealogical RESOURCE, but not a genealogical SITE..... There's a difference :)
