Bio

Son of Ray Evan McNeal(1917-1962) & Dorothy Fay Couch McNeal (1921-1995), who are buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, Ca. Born Feb. 22, 1943 in Moline, Rock Island Co., Ill. Attended Hawthorne School, Audubon School and Washington Jr. High in Rock Island, Ill. Belonged to the Y.M.C.A., Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Family moved to California in 1957. Belonged to the Explorer Scouts. Graduated from Western H.S., Anaheim, Ca. in 1961. Attended Fullerton Jr.Coll. from 1961 through 1964 studying electronics and began working for North American Aviation, Inc. Autonetics Division, on April 2, 1962 wiring and continuity testing Mardan computers. Transfered to N.A.A.'s Space Division in 1965 and worked electronics systems on the Saturn V launch and Apollo moon vehicles. Electronics systems test technician on the Skylab Orbiting Workshop at McDonnell-Douglas in 1971-1972. I was Crew Chief of the Space Shuttle electrical systems test team in Palmdale, Ca. from 1976 to 2001. I retired 6-1-2004 from Boeing North American after 42 years with the company. Divorced, have one son Garry Ray McNeal. My siblings are; Judy Fay McNeal Burlingham, Tarry Ray McNeal and Valarie Fay McNeal Smith. I am a master mason with Palmdale Lodge #769, F.& A.M. Palmdale, Ca., 32nd degree with Scottish Rite, Valley of Pasadena, Ca. and a noble of Al Malaikah Shrine Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., Los Angeles, Ca. I've been a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (now Community of Christ Church) since 1951.

My brother Larry passed away Dec. 4, 2010. I know he would want this legacy to continue and I am now managing his contributions. I have posted my email in case you have any inquiries.
