My name is Tonya Sapp Hames. I was born & raised in Laurens, SC & lived there for 25 years. I now live in Ladson, SC, with my husband, Stephen, and son, Christian.|
I stumbled upon FAG by accident when I Googled my father, Robert E. Sapp, who passed away in 1991 & his name came up on this website. I have always been fascinated by genealogy. I have mostly been researching the following family names: Sapp, Nelson, Moore, Helms, Ball, Story, Belk, Kell, Woody, Fuller, Campbell, Richards, Myers, & Taylor; along with Hames, Crowder, Gregory, Kirkley, & West. However, along the way I have been doing other genealogy work as well. I am a FAG County Keeper emeritus for Dorchester Co., SC.
If you have any information that may help me with my research, please feel free to contact me. Also, when reviewing any of my work, if you see that I have made any error, no matter how large or small, please do not hesitate to contact me & let me know. I will ask, that when contacting me, you please do so in a respectful manner & allow for the corrections to be made. As FAG is NOT my full-time job, I do NOT work on my FAG information everyday, therefore, quick fix items will be taken care of in a more timely manner than other items which may take more research to complete.

|Christen||Williams Cemetery 1|
I have recently had someone ask me about the location of the Williams Cemetery 1 in Spartanburg, SC, but I haven't been able to locate anything on it, besides what is here on Find A Grave. Saw that you had created some entries for this cemetery. Could you tell me where it was located?

I believe you have find a grave memorial #31733415 Rachel Davis attached to the wrong family the grave stone says Nee meaning she was born Davis. Rachel Hembree daughter of Joel & Hannah Hembree was born 1779 was married to Hugh Davis (proven by will) after his death she married cousin Johnson J. Hembree. A record of Dawes commission those claiming indian blood had applicant Elihu Hembree son of Rachel & Johnson Hembree applying for Cherokee Tribal Membership..This application has the linage of this family and was a tremendous help for Hembree researchers to define this family.

|Kathryn Miles||Abraham Willis #28300337|
I was wondering if you could provide more information on Abraham Willis, Memorial #28300337.
I believe him to be my 2nd great-grandfather. His first wife was V. Tumbleson and his second wife was Julia A Grimes (my 2nd great-grandmother). Her Find A Grave Memorial is #19842979. I believe his father was Benjamin Godfrey Willis (#37762475) and his mother was Sarah Caroline Risher (#37763913).
The reason why I am seeking confirmation is because of the different middle name variations on Abraham. Julia's headstone reads "Wife of A.W. Willis." His birth name, however, was Abraham Lincoln Willis - which is supported by census records linked to Julia. But the Find A Grave Memorial gives the middle initial of "E." Is it possible the tombstone was not transcribed correctly? If you or anyone else reading this has more information I would greatly appreciate it. Please email at email@example.com.

|Burke Archives||Atton Pemberton|
Can you look into memorial #48710545 for Atton Pemberton? I believe your memorial has the correct dates and information about the circumstances of Pemberton, but I think that he should be posed in Richmond County, GA, not Richland County, SC.
If this is correct, I'd like to move the photo and other information into one of the other existing memorials of Pemberton, and then delete this one from SC.
Let me know what you think.

|Hazelnuts & Bolts||Laurens Relatives|
Hi, Tonya. I see you are related to some Nelsons in Laurens, SC and just wondered if perhaps we could be kin. My great great grandmother Amanda Hazle #12192254 was born a Nelson in Laurens. Not sure if that's your line. And on a "we're not related by blood" note, I also see that you have Flossie Crowder Gilbert in your group. After her first husband Jack Pennington died, she married my grandfather Furman Bolt #8242430. Such a small world. Have a great day! :)
