I add family information and photos as I get time. Some are extended family (way out there extended) and various stones as I go to the cemetery. I figure someone may want them one day. |
I wish you the best on all of your searches.

Thank you so much for the quote from the history book. I've added it to James' biography but with a note concerning the Rev. War service of his father, Thomas Divine. Although Thomas' wife, Jemima, filed for pension on his service, her application was denied for lack of evidence. Even today we cannot find evidence of his service.

Thank you for the heads up about the section and row number being incorrect. I like the new edit procedure because it is easy to do, but I would like to be able to put a note about my edit. I miss that and find myself doing what you did and sending a note under the "other" category. Whatever it takes to keep the information current and correct - that is what we are aiming for and I appreciate your concern to have it right.

I sent you a correction on Milly's name. In our file we have her as Amelia with Milly as her nickname. As you note, she is Amelia only in that 1870 census, but Milly is a nickname for Amelia, so I think it is correct to put what she gave in the 1870 census as her name and then put the Milly as her nickname. And leaving the explanation that you have there is good so people will understand where we got the information.
Thanks for doing such a great job on this memorial.
Thank you for providing the burial plot information for Mary Piper, as well.

Absolutely use the photo! If you put it on line I would appreciate credit. Thanks for asking, Jenean

2on gr. grandfathers belong with their families. So I transfered him too, and you are welcome. Don't hesitate to ask for transfers for relatives if you want them.

Yes, you may use the picture for your ancestry pages. This is one of those stones that I wish Findagrave would OK for chalking, etc. What's a stone if you can't read it well?
And, yes the pictures are showing up now. Unfortunately I've added double pictures and have to go back and delete because they weren't showing up.
It takes about a month to merge via Find A Grave, so wait and see.
