I'm The Old Chief. That's because I'm relatively old and am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. I got into working with FindAGrave to enhance my work on our family tree through Ancestry.com and as a way to get out of the house and get some exercise. Although my residence is in central Oklahoma I traveled throughout this great country in my RV so you may see memorial and photo entries from various states.

I had two fantastic parents who made the life of my brothers and I wonderful. We lost our mother, Maskell (Weed) Stone, (memorial # 70307247) in 2011 at age 92. We lost our dad, George W. Stone, SR, (memorial # 210494779) in 2020 at the age of 101. Their bodies were buried in the Byars Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma, about four hundred feet from where Dad grew up. They now reside together in the presence of the Lord God Almighty.

I'm specifically interested in the names Stone, Weed, Davis, Jones, Berry as it pertains to our family in Oklahoma.

Also my wife's family: Hill, Rogers and Phillips.

TRANSFER REQUEST: If you are requesting a transfer that is outside the FAG guidelines you will need a really compelling reason for the request to be honored. (For transfer request that are outside the FAG guidelines I consider them on a case by case basis. If your profile shows you have MANY more memorials that you "manage" than you have actually done the work to add yourself then your out of guidelines request will probably be denied.)

When requesting a transfer please give your FAG contributor number AND how are you related to the individual. Please use the EDIT tab on the individual memorial page to request transfers. Also, permission is hereby granted to copy and reuse pictures of any grave marker that I have taken and posted on this site as long as they ARE NOT posted to a for profit site.
