Bio

The day I was born on June 18, 1941, I said to my Mother and Father, "Who are you and who I'm I", thus started my search of my family tree. I have been doing that ever since.
Searching New Jersey for Applegates I crossed paths with the Revolutionary War and started my collection of everything of George Washington.
I'm now in the middle of the Civil War with no end in sight.
I was lucky to know all four of my grandparents and they were all very good at relaying family stories, even if they did embellish the tales a little.
My Mother and Father dated for seven years during the depression before getting married in 1934.
She lived in Tuckerton, NJ on the Crik and Father lived in Haddonfield, NJ about one hour apart. They wrote two love letters to each other, every week for the entire seven years and my Mother saved everyone of them. What a great collection.
After my Mother was married and living in Haddonfield, she wrote letters to and from her Mother in Tuckerton, and she save everyone of them also.
All my many Aunts and Uncles are gone now, but I try to keep the family of cousins together by hosting a Applegate Family Reunion every September.
After my career as a building contractor in Haddonfield, I find myself retired and living in
(you guessed it) Tuckerton.
So, the search goes on for the few missing links.
