It is through my own genealogy research that I stumbled across Findagrave, where a volunteer had listed my great-grandparents and taken a picture of their headstone. My interest in documenting cemeteries and contributing to Findagrave really took off from there.

It's a pretty great thing to be able to memorialize our loved ones and ancestors, help others in their genealogy pursuits, and preserve history all at the same time, and that is what we are able to do through this website.
