I've been researching my family history for more than 30 years. I visit cemeteries in towns I pass through and take photos of as many headstones as time allows. If same last names are resting next to one another, I photograph these family groupings in addition to individual headstones. Flowers resting on or near gravestones simply indicate that I've visited the cemetery following a major holiday (Easter, Mother's/Father's Day, etc.) when someone else has left flowers.

I am not related to the majority of headstones that I photograph and transcribe, but if you are, please let me know and I'd be happy to transfer management of the memorial to you.
