I am currently working on trying to locate the final resting place of all the men who were part of the First Special Service Force (FSSF), aka Devil's Brigade or Black Devils. In July 2013, the Congressional Gold Medal was awarded, collectively, to the First Special Service Force, in recognition of its superior service during World War II. Presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal took place February 3, 2015 in Washington D.C.
My father-in-law, C.W. "Tiny" Beacon served in this elite unit. If you are related to someone who served in the FSSF please contact me.
