Many, many, heartfelt thanks to all of the Volunteers who have added Memorials, walked the miles in cemeteries taking photos and documenting names and dates; adding Obituaries, and various information on this site, for all of my "HANDWORK" relatives and related spouses in Pennsylvania; and my MELLEN, TAYLOR, HICKS, etc. Ancestors on Long Island, New York.

Since I live in Texas, all of you have been such a BLESSING to my Sister and I, and our descendants!

Also, this thanks includes information provided on this site about my otherwise online-documented (in The Chronicles of Oklahoma), Paternal 3rd Great Uncle, the Reverend Alexander Hamilton Balentine, Sr. He was the son of Scottish Immigrants from Pennsylvania. He and his Siblings were orphaned at very young ages. I have not found any authenticated information regarding their Parents' identity. {Update 26 Apr 2017: Some possible information about their Father has recently come to light...it needs to be documented, if possible...there is a Memorial Page for him on this site.}

The Reverend Balentine graduated from the New Jersey College and Princeton College/Seminary, and was sent to Indian Territory as a Presbyterian Missionary and Teacher to the Five Civilized Tribes, in the late 1840s until his untimely death in February of 1876.

Reverend Balentine married Nancy Ann/Anna HOYT of Paternal English, and Maternal Cherokee descent. I have learned much about the wonderful Native American people of our Country, through my research on the Balentine/Hoyt Families.

Thank you all, ever so much, for all of your diligent work on this site! {Of course, in Texas, it is "Thanks, Y'all"!}

2 Feb 2017 ~ Added to the Memorial for former President, Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower:

Thank you, Mr. President, for your service in The United States Army during World War II, which liberated so many Nations and Peoples!

In 1953, Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower, was the first United States President to attend what is now known as "The National Prayer Breakfast", held yearly. Also, in 1954, for placing the words, "...one nation under God.." in the USA Pledge of Allegiance; your quote: "In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America's heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country's most powerful resource in peace and war." On 30 Jul 1956, you signed into law for "In God We Trust" to be our Nation's Official Motto; and for this motto to be placed on our USA paper currency, suggested by Treasury Secretary George Humphrey. {The motto was placed on our coinage during the U.S. Civil War.} You came into office as President when I was a child beginning First Grade at aged six, and until I was aged 14. I remember you well, and admired you, greatly! Thank you again for your Patriotism to the USA, the caring of Peoples of the World, and your Love of God!
