Winters in Green Bay are long and brutal, filled with dark, cloudy days of sleet and snow or unbearable bitter cold days with the wind chill well below zero. Many monuments, especially flush monuments, and the grave identifying numbers get buried under snow or covered in ice. The cemetery does not plow all of the service roads, making it difficult, if not dangerous, to get to many of the graves. In early Spring as the snow melts, the grounds become a spongy, muddy mess. For the best grave site photos, please submit requests in Spring through Fall. The time frame to avoid adding photo requests is mid-November to the end of April.
