Karl Hamlin
Hello 8th cousin 2X removed
I have been researching my Hamlin family ancestry for over 40 years, and compiled a database of over 40,000 Hamlin’s, all of whom are descendants of a Stephen Hamlyn, who came to America from England in 1634, and settled in Surry County, Virginia. We are both in the database, and I am reaching out to share my discoveries with you. This can be done at no cost to either of us via email. Here’s what I propose to send:
- A personal Ancestor Report, generation by generation, showing birth, spouse, marriage, death, and burial information for all your ancestors (from you to Stephen Hamlyn)
- A Kinship Report (identifies your kinship to all your ancestors)
- A Relationship Chart (shows how you and I are related)
- A Descendant Report, generation by generation, showing birth, spouse, marriage, death, and burial information for all Stephen Hamlyn descendants

All of my information is in a system called Family Tree Marker from which I can very easily create a wide range of reports, like the four above. Thumbnail photos are included on the reports when available. The reports are suitable for permanent binding.

My tree name on Ancestry is “Stephen-1 Hamlin Descendants new”. My username is karlhamlin1. Please contact me outside Ancestry at where I can send attachments.
Eager to hear back from you.

John Stratton (1890-1963)
My name is Laura Flanagan. I have a great aunt by the name of Vinetta Eoff. She married a John Stratton in 1924 in Lubbock County, Texas. Vinetta died in 1925 shortly after giving birth to Zada Belle Stratton. I believe you have the same John Stratton (born 1890-1963) buried in Amarillo, Potter, Texas. Do you have any more information on this John? Other than a marriage date/death dates and birth date of Zada Belle Stratton. I have pretty much nothing to go on.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Laura Flanagan

William Ward's wives & children
I'm having trouble making all the facts coordinate for William Ward Memorial # 6190756. Could you make a timeline for him showing the facts and the order of his wives and the children by each? you can do that here or if you prefer email me at with it or any family group records and sources if you have them?

Sam Kendall, 1st Burying Ground, Woburn, MA
Hi Terry,
I notice that Sam Kendall has 4 children with surname Kendall and one Elizabeth Richardson Wyman, also listed as his child. Is there a story that I'm not aware of, or does this look odd to you?

William Ward

I saw that you had written Bill Velde about William Ward & thought you may like to know about the Ward genealogy book by Charles Martyn.

The William Ward genealogy :the history of the descendants of William Ward of Sudbury, Mass., 1638-1925. New York : A. Ward, 1925.

Here's the online link to this book.

I am also a descendent of William Ward.

Hope this may help you.
