Bio

I am an aviation historian living near Manchester in the UK, Since 1990 I have been researching flying accidents in England, many of which involved Americans & Canadians,Alies of our country during that dreadful war 1939-45, I feel it a great honour to remember the sacrifices they paid in order to protect our freedom.
Since 1994 I have written 4 books detailing the stories behind some of the crashes on high ground in Britain, and contacted many survivors, relatives and witnesses in order to get the stories as acurate as possible. My books are entitled `THEIR FINAL MISSION - 8 stories of B-17 Flying Fortress crashes on high ground. `HELL ON HIGH GROUND` Vols 1 & 2, and `ALL IN A DAY`S WORK` abount the RAF Rescue Teams who attended the crashes in the mountains.
For the past 2 years I have been working on a history of the US Navy at Dunkeswell in Devon, and hope to get my work published soon.
As details come in on where in the US men are interred, I shall consider it an honor to provide details & pictures on this site, so that their memory will not be forgotten.
Many Thanks.
David W.Earl.
