|Bio and Links|
|I have been interested in genealogy and family research for several years. In the past several years, I have been entering listings for persons found in the local obituaries and also many of the local cemeteries. I would be very happy to add links or additional information to any of my listings. Thank you to everyone for providing additional information.|
Please use edit tab for any corrections. It makes it easier to make revisions. Links, revisions and corrections sent in messages may not get taken care of very quickly. Also, before adding a memorial, be sure to do a thorough search to make sure the memorial hasn't been added. I've been receiving several emails saying my memorials are duplicates when in fact they were added sometimes several years before the one that mine is supposedly duplicating.
Please understand that I work full time and can't devote 100% of my time to this. The entries I make are from full obituaries and death notices that don't initially have all the information, but when the full obituary is posted, I add the missing info. In some cases this may take a few days, so please bear with me. If you have the full obit, please feel free to send it via the edit tab and I'll gladly add it at that time. I don't enter memorials just to see how many I can get either. The total just naturally keeps climbing every time I add some.
Before asking for a transfer, PLEASE read the FAG guidelines and rules. If you are requesting a transfer, PLEASE tell me how you are related so I can determine if the transfer will be made.
Due to the large number of people requesting transfers just so they can control a distant family member, I'm limiting my transfers to IMMEDIATE FAMILY, meaning parents, siblings, and grandparents, and I would appreciate being ASKED nicely to transfer instead of receiving demands. Please realize that you can't expect to have every single family member page in your care as there are thousands of contributors on this site and trees do overlap. I do not control every one of my relation on FAG, and don't expect to. I'm just happy to have them there so I can refer to them if needed.
Also, if you have nothing to add to the memorial, and just want to have the page because they are related, there's no need for a transfer. Unless you have extensive changes to be made, please just ask for links or additions to be made. I have a lot of time and sometimes costs for travel, etc. involved in my listings so I prefer to keep them unless they are direct family. If the person happens to be related to me, the transfer won't be made, but I will do corrections or additions.

I removed the photo requests from Reinbeck. I assume, since you created the memorials in the correct cemetery, that you'll handle the duplicates.

Yours is current, someone named Louis has entered a duplicate entry. Please let him know.
Her last name is buried under Jones.
I am in Iowa and going back home Thursday.

|Couple of Gravers||RE: Ernest Edward Whitmore|
Not a problem. I thought it was some sort of mix-up, as we've never had any sort of problems before. Some people on Find A Grave aren't very nice people, but I've always had positive interactions with you, which is why I was confused by this case. Hopefully the other person will convert her duplicate page to the son's name. I kept a copy of the son's photo in case you want to post it on the son's page, if she converts it. I was going to leave the obit on the father's page for a while in case she wants to copy it for the son's page.
I'm glad that we put this behind us.

I got an edit request from someone today about this memorial page Ernest Whitmore. I'm a little confused. It appears as if Find A Grave made some edits at your request, as the bio has a little link at the bottom stating (bio by: Lynn Schneider), his name was also changed to JR, and a photo of "Ed" was posted on the page on 3/19/2004.
I created the page in December of 2010, clearly for his father. Now someone has asked me remove the spousal link to Helen Speer because that was his mother, not his wife. That was how this came to light.
I know that I haven't always accepted messages, but you could have contacted me via an edit request, and we could have discussed that this was the person born in 1909 and died in 1980 as is shown on his marker as well as the dates on the memorial page, and not his son, born in 1940 and died in 2017.
Would you remove the photo from this page please? I will ask the person who contacted me about this and ask her to convert her page to the son.
We have always had what I thought was a good relationship, and I'm surprised by this.

Thank you for the gravestone photos for John and Lavera Thede in Reinbeck Cemetery, Reinbeck, Iowa. Much appreciated.
|Ann Day||Russell and Nellie Dunn|
Thank you for getting the photo of this grave. Russell is a distant relative of mine. Thanks again for doing this!
