Betty Lou Martin Gann #6610118
Betty was the daughter of John Henry Martin born 7/4/1900 and Axie M. (Meadows) Martin. I'm attempting to locate the grave sites of these two people. John Henry Martin son of Elam and Parlee Martin was a distant cousin to my husband. Any assistance would be a great deal of help. Thanks JoyB.

Would you please make the following corrections on this memorial.

#1 Name is spelled Francis, not with an e
#2 He died in 1924 not 1936
#3 He died in Forest Grove, Oregon, not Hood River.

His service was conducted at the Methodist Church in Grass Valley by Rev. W. L.Dillinger

Dear Peggy,

I am of a different wing of the family, descended from Joel Sylvanus Wallace who married two of your ancestors, apparently. My grandfather, Frank Carey Wallace, wrote poetry about growing up with his father in the plains of Texas, near Chico. The poems are called Father Said and you can read selections that I have set to music on the "lyrics" tab of this page: I have not typed up the rest of the book he compiled of these poems, but it's on my agenda. Hope this is of interest to you and your family. Best Wishes, Frank Wallace

I am related through the Perry family from Pontotoc MS. I put in an edit for Evelyne Perry Blagg parents Willis Moore Perry and Effie Isora (Walls) Perry. My great grandmother Hattie Perry and Willis are siblings. Their parents were Alfred Malcolm Perry and Eliza Jane Perry. Eliza Jane is where the Choctaw Indian heritage comes from. Once I can get family records hopefully before the Dancing Rabbit Treaty 1830-this treaty stated if Choctaw wanted to stay in MS they could, but they had to become US citizens and then no longer claim their Native heritage. Obviously Eliza Jane's family chose to stay. It is estimated only 1000 Choctaws stayed.

Thank you for posting the information regarding the Blagg family. Ann Blagg McNerlin was my great-great-grandmother, through her grandson, Charles Augustus McGowan. I have had difficulty researching this family, so I am happy to find any information about them. :-)

Thank you so much for your labor of love in adding the Blaggs to find a grave. There is one correction for the above. I noticed that you have my grandmother with the middle name Myrtle. This has been a common mistake on a lot of info on her. She had no middle name. Her sister was Myrtle or also known as Mertie. When you can would you change this information. Thanks you so much.

Are you familiar with Fannie's husband Leonard?
Would you happen to know of his burial?
Thank You
