This site is a tremendous boon to genealogist as well as people like like "exploring" the famous gravesites that we may never be able to visit. |
I am a huge genealogy buff!

They sure did have it wrong. The Edouard who died in 1944 was his four-year-old nephew. Thanks for noticing.

Hello Cousin Melanie Young. Thanks for getting in touch.
If you wish to correspond further, please use my email address of JohnClem@who.net
You wrote: "I was curious to see where you got the maiden name of Drummer for Lydia."
"I am looking at the text you quote and it gives no last name for her."
Good catch. I have removed the maiden name Drummer. One sees that maiden name all over, but I do not believe it is necessarily so.
It has been written that Lydia's last name is Drummer, but the source appears to be weak in authenticity (Second Boat, July 1986, 7:3:97).

Found her obituary from Jan 1952 and added it to her memorial. I also put in a photo request to see if there is a headstone.
Hope that helps,

Done - in the future, when you want to request a transfer, use the edit button on the memorial - "suggest other correction or addition" - type a brief request transfer note and include the memorial number.

|Helen Schwartz||RE: John Gunther Jr|
Hi, thanks for reminding me; I tried once before to make the connection between mother and son but someone else had created a Frances Gunther with the wrong maiden name. I just requested again.
|Time Traveler||RE: Judith Gunther # 137826428|
It lists Judith as the half-sibling of John Gunther, Jr., because the person who manages his memorial only added the same father, and did not include the mother. The Find-A-Grave system will automatically indicate a half-sibling, unless both parents are included.

Please Note: While I write biographies for famous listings, I do not hold editing privileges and can make no changes; famous listings are entirely within the pervue of administration. To request any additions to famous memorials, you must email email@example.com to submit updates. Be sure to include a link to the memorial record or the memorial ID #.

If you find out which is the true DOB let me know! Geo
|LSP||Alexander McNutt Paxton|
THANKS so much for alerting me to additional son Alexander of Elisha and Margaret Paxton and your source of the google book. I've been working on digging up more data on him (and his family) and have yet to find a confirmed/sourced death date for 18 Jun 1886. My emerging site is on Find A Grave #124354185. I found him mentioned in his dad's will as well. I found his wife and a few kids' graves so far.
The endless search continues,
