One thing I LOATHE about Find A Grave are the hobbyists who have no respect for a family's grief when losing a loved one.

You know who you are. You're the ones who, with ZERO regard for the family's grief & pain, take it upon yourself to create a memorial for a total stranger you'd never known in life almost immediately upon that person's obituary being published in the local paper or online. The mental image this congers up of is that of vultures circling waiting for someone to die so they can create a memorial.

!!!!!! SHAME ON YOU FOR ADDING TO A FAMILY'S GRIEF !!!!!!

It has happened to our family several times too many. Knowing this & as painful as it is for me, now when we lose a family member, I try to create a bare bones memorial immediately as a place holder to prevent stranger/hobbyists from intervening & adding to the grief of the family.

But even then, some of the disrespectful hobbyists are too fast for me. With 2 family deaths last year, before we'd even had our loved ones' wakes, stranger hobbyists had created memorials!

Please show some compassion, respect & humanity for the grieving survivors. Wait a respectful period of time for the family to properly grieve before creating a memorial for someone recently deceased who is a total stranger to you. Better yet, give a family member who actually knew & loved the person in life a chance to create a memorial for their loved one before you intervene & create a memorial .
