I am not sure if this will help with any of your research but I wanted to let you know in case it is of relevance. Riley is buried in rural Stark County on Osceola Road (1700 N) near what I am assuming is the original family homestead. I grew up on a farm about a mile from there and we always knew about this grave in the middle of nowhere. The only information I have found listed him as treasurer of Osceola and an 1880ís donation from his widow. He did have a son (William I think) who became one of the first rural doctors in the area. However, he ended up in Ohio and very successful in the hotel industry. This seems to be the only grave there. Maybe they were planning a family cemetery and moved on. This may have nothing to do with anything you are researching but I wanted to pass it along.

You are very welcome - do you happen to be kin of theirs?
Thanks so much for the transfer! I appreciate your kindness.

Hi - thanks for your work! I have sent an edit thru your Edit Tab, changing William's name from William S. to Williams. His mother's maiden name was Williams. Although it is hard to see, his stone does say Williams.

Hello Betty!! I have transferred my memorial for Ada Clements to you. I am so sorry for the delay. It seems like I am at work all the time and have no time for anything else. Have a wonderful day :)

Her obit says she died in the Wessington Hospital. The town of Wessington sits on the county line, and findagrave only lets you add Wessington with Beadle County not Hand.
I will not be accepting your edit for place of death as Miller. So if you'd like to delete the edit, it won't clutter up your list.
Thanks for your interest. Barb Jones
