Introduction:
Bobby Wayne Smith,is a 5th Generation Texan, and the 4th Great-Grandson of T.R.H. ( Thomas Richard Horn ) Poteet; who migrated from Middle Tennessee of Overton County,Tennessee to Texas, to what became Paris, Lamar County, Texas.
T.R.H.( Thomas Richard Horn ) Poteet was accredited for naming Paris by
The Lamar County Historical Society.
T.R.H.( Thomas Richard Horn ) Poteet also held the seat of County Treasurer during the Civil War Period.

I spend a lot of time researching The Poteet Family Geneology and The Rich Histories of our Families Heritage.I have been to several of the Southern East States taken Grave Photo's of many of our Poteet Families. I Hope those who visit this site will enjoy all the hard work and time and money that has been put fourth in this effort.

I also encourage Our Poteet Families to Leave Family Portraits of those who have gone before us,so that thier memory will not be forgotten.
