I am trying to downsize the number of memorials I manage, so ask for a transfer.

NOTE; Pleaze use the Edit function on the memorial to ask questions, which identifies the person in question. I have tens of thousands of names in my records and your courtesy is much appreciated.

Judy Miller
Hi Jim
You and I have spoken before about the McIntosh family. Helen Pearl was my Grandfather Carl Fauver's sister.
We now have a newbie from the McIntosh side. He is 14 years old and a sweet kid. His grandmother is Phyllis Kaiser (daughter of Helen May McIntosh).
Tommy Pickle is his name. We met with his grandmother, mother and Tommy for lunch and they came back to the house to look at photos.

He's very new at this so I thought I'd tell you about him. If you get in touch with him and have problems explaining things, I'll be glad to help. He's a really smart kid and loves genealogy.

George W. Shoop #8026462
I have left a copy of James Campbell will, as a photo, which names all of George and Mary Campbell-Shoop children. If you would like to take it down, that's is fine, or I will. I just thought it would be nice for everyone to see all of the children they had together before she pass away.

Jeffrey Ferris' Parents and Ancestors
Hoping that others are serious about finding the ancestors of Jeffrey Ferris, I wanted to share the results of my research into the descendants of Henry de Feriers who was identified by Reverend E. B. Huntngton as the patriarch of the Ferris family. Perhaps a clue in that research will lead someone to the parents and additional ancestors of Jeffrey Ferris.

Briefly, that research revealed that the "de Feriers" surname did indeed evolve over the centuries to "de Ferrers," "Ferrers" and Ferris as evidenced by contemporary documentation, including records of the Privy Council. In addition, the "de Feriers" actually began their history in England in Derbyshire and Staffordshire, not Leicestershire, and many "de Feriers" descendants migrated to various other shires throughout England.

The evidence also indicates that no "Mary Anne Howard" ever existed. Thomas Howard and Alathea Talbot had six sons, but no daughters. And, while there were several Richard Ferrises in England around 1610, there is no evidence yet that one of them was Jeffrey Ferris' father.

But the evidence does support Reverend Huntington's conclusion that Henry de Feriers was likely the family patriarch.

The PDF memo linked below discusses and analyzes my discoveries in more depth. And, it relates some significant and interesting stories about the "de Feriers" (Ferris) family.

The GEDCOM file for Henry de Feriers' descendants is also linked below. Because the "de Feriers" were members of the nobility, you will see they married into other noble families, including descendants of English Kings.

The Origins of Jeffrey Ferris (about 1610-1666) and Some Ferrers Family Stories:

I would appreciate hearing about any additional supporting or contradictory evidence.

Tom and Nancy Gawthrop
Thomas W Holloway's parents
Tom's Find a Grave memorial is #14979580. It says his parents were not listed on his death cert., but I found Tom listed on an 1850 and 1860 census as the child of Benjamin and Levisa Holloway. I have submitted a link to Tom with these parents.

I accidentally sent you a link to a mother but it's not his mother, please ignore. Also, I would be happy to take over any of the memorials for the above names.

They are all my relatives.
