|BarbW||Jesse Belvin Obituary|
Craig.. There is one statement in the obituary of Jesse Belvin that is incorrect. You said, "Belvin and his wife were killed in a car crash just hours after he had performed in front of the first integrated concert audience in the history of Little Rock, Arkansas." I was at the concert you are speaking of and it was in fact, segregated. Two performances were given at the same time.. one was upstairs in the Robinson Auditorium Music Hall for white people and one was given in the downstairs venue, for black people. Half the performers sang upstairs while the other half performed downstairs and then switched to the other venue. You can check the advertisement for tickets in the Arkansas Gazette and Arkansas Democrat archives in the week prior to the concert. It was a great concert and well received with screams and applause for all performers that were deafening, artists I remember best included Jackie Wilson, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, as well as Jesse Belvin and many of the top artists of the day.There were a few cat calls from about 3 teens that I saw who were sitting a few rows in front of me. I doubt that many even heard them because the audience was cheering so loud for the performers on stage. The hecklers were immediately escorted out the side door of the auditorium. I saw no mention of any foul play in the article about Jesse's death the next day. Your information has been used as a 'source' on Wikipedia and should be corrected. Thanks, Barbara

I know you did the bio. for Alice Faye, they have listed Tony Martin as spouse now that he has passed, but I think Phil Harris should be also listed, and you are probably the only one who can do that.
PS The bio is wonderful.
