I am Chief of our parish Fire District and love visiting old graveyards. I was once told we can never know where we are going if we don't know where we came from so I decided to make sure I knew which direction I was moving in. It really gets me when I realize how much knowledge is lost when we lose someone. I want to try and make sure no one forgets these people and what their lives stood for. Some are my friends and relatives and some I never knew but somewhere they were loved by others and would want to be remembered.
