I started researching my family tree in 2002. I had no idea at the time I would become addicted to genealogy. I've always loved cemeteries and F.A.G allows me to indulge in my curiosity about the lives of the people memorialized by their headstones.

After several years of sitting neglected, the memorials at the Italian Cemetery in Colma, San Mateo, California are finally being updated by hard working volunteers. Now people from all over the USA and the world can find their relatives final resting place, including headstone photographs, updated family relationships, and updated birth and death information. Sometimes photographs of the individuals and obituaries are added too! These updates have helped me locate entire new branches on my family tree.

Burial Index by year of death for the Italian Cemetery is at Family Search. You will need an account to log on.

Use the drop down menu and click "San Mateo" for the full list of log books and grave cards after you log in. The grave cards are not very user friendly for searching but most of them are there.

I am not about hoarding memorials. If I have one of your relatives, let me know. But please remember that some of the memorials I have or have put up here are my relatives too. There are a few memorials I have that are dear to me and I prefer to keep them close to me.

Please do not use photographs I put up on Find A Grave for other sites. If you are a relative, you may use the photographs for your family tree. I do not want to find my photographs up on other sites. It will make me very cranky. Thanks for your cooperation.
