My dear dad Donald Putman was a WWII veteran and is buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. He is in heaven now and after his passing I became interested in genealogy and with the help of volunteers have acquired several photographs along my search.

I have done the same for others, gone to cemeteries in the Denver metro area to take photos of headstones requested by families. It is my way of "paying it forward", to help others in their search like so many volunteers did for me. I have a special place in my heart for veterans and it's the least I can do for them, as I thank them for their service.

Even when I take a road trip, I search to see if there is a cemetery on the way to our destination that I could help assist with requested photos from www.findagrave.com. It takes so little time and hopefully may help a family in some way. I think my dad would be pleased to know that I do this. It is very rewarding with all the kind emails I receive.
