I've been researching my family roots since the fall of 1999. I started researching because of a Social Studies project given to my son when he was in 6th grade. It was a year long school project, the students were to trace their family lines back to the immigrant and present their results in a 3 ring binder. Well needless to say I was hooked helping my son write letters to family members asking for help and documents to verify the info. Helping him to get BMD certs for family members from all over. Going to visit the cemeteries here in Pennsylvania to get pics of gravestones for my husband's family lines. Unfortunately, my family lines are all out in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio. I didn't find this site in time for his project, but I am hooked on genealogy & I am hooked here and feel as though I can't expect folks out in the Midwest to take pics for me if I don't take pics of gravestones here in my local area.

I have transcribed & taken pics for 3 small cemeteries in the area. I took photos in a few other larger cemeteries here in the Mechanicsburg area. Since 4 grandchildren have come into my life over the last 9 years, my time to visit local cemeteries and take photos has greatly decreased.
