Hello,
I have been going genealogy research for over 40 years; started when there were NO computers and the records were not always available. I enjoy helping people look for there ancestors. I am currently one of the Salem Christian Union Church's historians. I take care of the past history and am working on the cemetery there. We are documenting the headstones with photos, stone rubbings, and sometimes able to unearth stones. Am also interested in finding old photos of Salem church and the cemetery. The cemetery was vandalized twice in 1974 and 88 headstones were damaged.

I do not transfer families at this time as this is an on-going site and I am the caretaker of the cemetery records. I will gladly add any information that you like. ALL headstone photos have been entered on this site that are available. If others are found I will put them on as soon as I can. There are around 200 UNMARKED graves.

I consider Southern Illinois; Jasper Co.; my home and the surnames I research there are Wilkerson/Wilkinson, Curtright, Shelly, Fore, Worthey, Wilson, Barker, Joseph, Larkin(s), Clark, Densmore, Martin, Barker/Reiglesberger, Pictor and McKinney/McKimmey . Happy Searching and God's Blessings...
