My name is Ann Borgers, I live in the suburbs of Milan, Italy. Originally from middle America, land of Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota. Currently I'm trying to locate information on my great grandfather, Berend Borgers. He immigrated to the U.S. in October 1892 with his wife Hermina van Beek and their five children via Ellis Island on their way to Alton, Iowa. I'm trying to locate his date and place of death, I believe he was only in the States a couple of weeks before passing away due to possibly pneumonia (family legend that he died of pneumonia).
