I am a grandaughter of Charles Ora Hand, buried in the Lower Lake Cemetery in northern CA. I am very grateful to Judy Bond for the pictures and setting up his memorial. I had been to the cemetery years ago when my mom was still living. I grew up in Lower Lake and moved to southern Oregon when I was almost 6 years old.

The Hand family owned a campground on Clear Lake next door to Garner's as I recall. My grandfather died before I was born so finding out bits and pieces of infomation on him and other relatives is very satisfying to me. The Hands originally lived in Morgan Valley on a ranch of around 750 acres. They moved to CA from WA State around 1915.
