I checked all around that stone, there were no other markers and no other inscription on the stone. A little odd.

You are quite right. Thank you for catching that!

You're most welcome for the photo.
Unfortunately, I don't live in Beverly, only work there.
|KC||William B Swett|
Thank you for your beautiful photos of the Swett family plot.
The Swett/Brown family is an honored part of American Deaf history.
While most of the information you have in the description of William B Swett is correct, the following statement is likely not: "His grandfather Nahum was deaf and never educated. His grandmother was hearing and helped her husband with homemade sign languages to communicate."
This gives the impression that a Deaf person needs to be taught how to sign from a hearing person and it is unlikely Nahum had no "homemade signs" before marrying.
For further info on the family see: People of the Eye by Lane, Pillard, and Hedberg.
but thanks again for all your work!

I have not spoken to you in awhile. I have been working on the old burial ground at Ipswich since mid-summer and still going strong. I was there this morning taking over 800 pictures!
Talk again soon,

Thanks so much for your help in identifying her parents. I have noted her memorial. Richard.
|Mayflower Pilgrim 332||Parentage of Mary Driscoll Gould|
Dan, I found your site and hope you may be able to help in locating the parents of Mary Driscoll Gould #64474581 in find a grave. Any help would be appreciated since her obit does not name her Driscoll parents. Richard.
Greetings and thanks again!
