I grew up most of my life in Preble County. I have always been interested in genealogy. My fondest memories of gathering data for our family tree were at the Good reunions. They were held each year at the Legion Hall outside of West Alexandria, Ohio. At the age of 10 or 11 years old, I would "interview," (some may say interrogate if they were still alive!) the older people and write down information! Each year prior to going to the reunion, my grandpa Fudge would remind me to bring my pen and paper! Grandpa would be amazed at how much information I have collected on his mother's side. I always thought it was neat that his mother's maiden name was Good and she married a Fudge....hence Good-Fudge!
