Bio

My parents made serious efforts in our family's research during the late 40's and throughout the 1950's. As a pre-teen and teenager I was the unwilling and bored witness to many excursions into cemeteries throughout western New York and parts of New England. By osmosis I absorbed the value of headstone inscriptions as genealogical resources. After semi-retiring in 1992 my wife and I took up the search again, and in 2003 I became re-energized by an evening phone call from an out-of-state distant relative.
I'm happy to serve as a photo volunteer, excepting only during the winter months when snow cover often prevents access to low-profile headstones, and when driving conditions may be hazardous.
