William Hawkins
William and his first wife Sarah were my great great grandparents -- through their daughter Mary Anne (later spelled Marian). I have one of the more original versions for the photos that are on William's entry. I can get you the names (most are written across the original in really light ink so they are hard to read). the picture was taken at about the time of William's marriage to Madeline (in Dec 1888), and there is a mix of his children with Sarah and her children with her first husband.
I'll let you know within a few days.

Hi Craigy,

You sent me a message for the correct cemetery. You sent to me that she is buried at St Michael's (now Sunderland Minster). Could you please send me the link so that I have her in the right cemetery.

Thank You

Hi, I have come across your entry whilst searching for info on William and Madeline, and had discovered his first wife Sarah. I believe too that Madeline was married and widowed before marrying William.

I was amazed to see the photos. Are they of William and Madeline? And some of their children? There seems to be writing on the group photo, but I couldn't work out what it was saying. Trying to work out names possibly, I wasn't sure I could find any of their children's names?

I would be grateful if you could confirm they are indeed photos of William, Madeline and family, and wonder if you can associate names with the individual children?

Thank you in anticipation, and best wishes,

Peter

That's fantastic, thank you so much, I never expected there to be a headstone and that looks like quite a posh one too. Something else to add to my tree. Your doing a brilliant job!
Thanks again

Thanks for trying. This may sound strange but even just seeing a grassy plot feels like an accomplishment. :)
