Bio

This was my dog and best buddy, Ralph. He crossed the bridge in November 2009 at the age of 16-1/2 years. Besides being his "mom," mom to two humans and grandma to seven little ones, and mom to three scampering cats (Shelby Foote, The Artful Dodger and Shadow) and another dog (Ivy), I recently received my master's in history (emphasis on 19th century America) at Kent State University. My late husband Dave and I have also always had a fondness for family history and cemeteries. My wish is that every person could find all the graves of their ancestors easily (and wouldn't it be great if they were all marked?), and I think Find A Grave is an excellent way to accomplish this. I also have a special fondness for the out of the way, abandoned, and/or hidden cemetery - makes us wonder how these people were so forgotten. And I feel strongly that ALL veterans need to be remembered, and I find it quite sad when we locate a veteran buried with no stone.

Please feel free to copy any photos I've taken. And please don't hesitate to forward new information to me on any of my memorials and of course, if you are a descendant, I'll be happy to transfer any memorials to you!
