I spent three years stationed at Arlington National Cemetery with the Army Honor Guard from 1967 to 1970 (my parents are also buried there). I visited dozens of cemeteries in the D.C.-area including Oak Hill (D.C.), Holy Rood (D.C.), Georgetown Univ. (very macabe!), Congressional (D.C.), Ladies Union Band Cemetery (Georgetown) Since childhood I've had a great interest in 'garden' cemeteries which spell out history of some great and ordinary people. I have also spent many hours at nearby Little Big Horn National Cemetery where Custer met his end.
