I have done extensive research and have catalogued the Matherne Cemetery and the adjacent Rogers Cemeteries in Bayou Blue, Louisiana, in Terrebonne Parish near the city of Houma. I try to keep my records up-to-date and to take photos of all graves with headstones. The current listings in Find A Grave for these cemeteries have some interments confused - some of those shown in the Matherne Cemetery listings are actually buried in one of the Rogers Cemeteries. There is actually no such thing as the Matherne-Rogers Cemetery, although people do sometimes refer to the whole complex as such in obituaries.

I have also catalogued and taken photos of other cemeteries in my area, namely: Daigle Memorial - Presbyterian; New Hope-Grace Memorial; St. Louis Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums; Magnolia Cemetery; the Terrebonne Memorial Park and the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, and the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. I recently catalogued the New Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville, LA and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Plattenville, LA. In addition, I more recently catalogued St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Paincourtville, LA and St. Jules Cemetery in Belle Rose, LA.

I also have many relatives buried in the McDonoghville Cemetery (originally called McDonogh Cemetery) which has its entrance in Gretna, LA but actually is spread over Algiers and Gretna. I have placed some memorials on that site.
