My passion for the past 30+ years has been researching and documenting my Plautdietsch (Low German)-speaking Mennonite ancestry that has its origins in 16th and 17th centuries in the Vistula delta area of Royal Prussia, eventually transplanted to the U.S. and Canada in the 1870s by way of the southern steppes of Russia, primarily from the Molotschna and Chortitza Settlements of the Ukraine.
