Bio and Links
Bio Photo Just a note on the interments and photos. Some are family, some are friends and MANY others are people that I did not know. If you find any errors or want to add information to the person, please let me know.Denver, Colorado is where I was born and raised. My grandmother worked on genealogy which rubbed onto me at a young age. Have been working on genealogy for almost 60 years.Hope that the unrelated entries have aided you in finding YOUR family! My PRIMARY INTENT was to post the information from records other have complied. Please note, many are put up from cemetery records...as is. I'm aware that there are many errors in these records, but I rarely make assumptions as to proper spelling, etc. with the exception of death month which is often based on interment date. Generally speaking, I do not research each memorial. I enjoy just driving into a cemetery and reading the headstones and wondering about the history of the person.I would be willing to take or retake a 'Close Up' photos of headstones in the cemeteries around Metro Denver. At the present time many volunteers are working on Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. It might be a life long job but enjoying the challenge. WE WILLINGLY MAKE TRANSFERS WITHIN THE 4 GENERATION "FIND A GRAVE" GUIDELINES WHICH ARE:Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.Our thanks to all of you who have sent additional information for the memorials. If you 'find' one of your family member that has a photo of the headstone, please know that you are free to USE the photos. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ...not for my ego or for the "numbers." ~ ~ ~ "A Genealogist must have the patience of Job; the curiosity of a cat; the stubbornness of a mule; the eyesight of an eagle; be blessed with the luck of the Irish and have the ability and stamina of a camel to go long hours without food or drink." ~ The Herald, Vol.18, No. 3 & 4; 1995~ ~ ~ Enjoy Life -- It is too short.Sincerely,S.McCoskey

Re: Donald E. Wesley, Sr. = #2
Mr. Wesley is buried in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

I knew it was probably a long-shot that you would know anything about his family, but I thought I'd try with you first.

Thank you anyway.

Donald E. Wesley, Sr.
I wondered if you have any idea about the family of this gentleman or how to contact them.

I found reference to a PVT Donald E. Wesley in a fitness report for my father, Thomas J. Rucker, CDR, USN while he was on duty at Naval Station Argentia, Newfoundland. As written in the fitness report, on Nov. 16, 1954, my father (then an HM1) saved PVT Wesley from drowning and stabilized him until other medical personnel could arrive.

Mr. Wesley's age on that date, likely rank, and service in the US Army make it possible he is the person my father saved.

My family did not know about this incident until well after my father died in 1995 and we were able to arrange for print-outs from his military records on microfiche. It is possible that Wesley's family (his children) do not know about it, either -- my father never spoke of it to us, although we can't imagine why.

Anyway, if you can tell me anything, we would be most appreciative.

Was wondering if you do gravestone photos in Boulder, Colorado or just those in the Denver area?? If you do Boulder I have a request for Charles Roland Giggey B 1947 and passed 5 Aug 2017. His number is #182197997. He is buried in Mt View Memorial Gardens in Boulder. If so I have a couple more also in Boulder. I will have one at the Golden Cemetery shortly. My cousin just passed and is being buried their. My#47233907, I am asking you because you take great pictures. Thanks for all your great work. The person I usually ask has since moved to the western slope of Colorado. Will was great also.

Best to you and yours
