Bio and Links
Bio Photo Over the past several years, I've spent much of my free time researching multiple Crago, Craigo, Cragoe, Crego and Cregoe family trees, and you'll find a lot of information on FindaGrave about those family lines. I've also identified more than 600 of my direct paternal and maternal ancestors. I'm happy to share most of this information with other family researchers.

I've tried to document every known Crago and Craigo in America prior to 1900, and have lately begun to concentrate on the Crago's, Cragoe's and Cregoe's of Cornwall, England, Australia and New Zealand. I have extensive family files as a result of this search (i.e., more than 6000 different Crago's, Cragoe's, Crego's, Cregoe's and Craigo's).

As Project Administrator for DNA research on the various Crago/ Craigo/ Crego families tested at FTDNA, I can say with confidence that most of the family DNA patterns in America are now pretty well understood. Contact me for details of that DNA research, or check out the website below.

Finally, I've recently joined the Guild of One Name Studies (GOONS), based in England, in order to further the study of the Crago surname worldwide. Any Crago, Cragoe, Crego, Cregoe or Craigo in the World is encouraged to join these efforts.
NOTE!!  In July of 2011, about 5000 memorials created and/or managed by the late Dr. Adalbert Goertz were merged with the 1,000 or so I had created and/or managed prior to that. I very much regret that when FAG merged the two accounts, they removed the credit which should be properly given to Adalbert for all the work he did. I'll readily acknowledge that most of the FAG work now credited to me was his doing. Visit his FAG memorial for more about Adalbert Goertz 69628876.

Jacob Rediger (1807 - 1889)
Hi Tom,

I have a fast humble request. I am the great-great-great-grandson of Jacob Rediger (Find A Grave Memorial# 19313988 in your care). As he was Anabaptist (Amish-Mennonite) he has an obituary in the Herald of Truth. There have been online resources for these obituaries for some years now. I was wondering if you could please include his H.o.T. obituary at his Findagrave site.

It reads:

Herald of Truth, Vol. XXVI, Number 16, August 15, 1889

REDIGER - On the 15th of June, near Milford, Seward Co., Nebraska, Preacher Jacob Rediger, aged 81 years, 11 months and 17 days. He was a laborer in the ministry for fifty-three years, and worked faithfully until the last six months of his mortal life. He seldom missed an appointment. He lived in matrimony 47 years and had 12 children, of which three, together with his wife, preceded him. Nine children, 42 grandchildren, and 1 great-grand child followed him to the grave. Services by Joseph Gascho and Joseph Schlegel from 2 Cor. 5:2 and Matt. 25:23. He was buried in the Mennonite graveyard.

Thanks for all of your hard work.

All the best,

C.W. Sedlak

Thanks for transferring Elisabeth Suderman's memorial to me. And thanks for all the work you have done to maintain Adalbert Goertz's memorials to keep them available for everyone.

RE: Dr. Joseph Crago
I'll contact Gina, who photographed the stones and lives about 2 blocks away. Then I can delete my page for Joseph. Neal

Dr. Joseph Crago
Hi Tom,
I seem to have a duplicate page for Dr. Joseph Crago. I entered his information from a burial, probably reburial record, kept by the sexton of Oaklawn. You have Joseph Crago buried in the Oaklawn Mausoleum. Some years ago anyone interred in the Mausoleum were reburied elsewhere. The pictures on the page that I created are for markers found in Section 3 of Oaklawn Cemetery, where I assume he was reinterred. I'll gladly delete my page, but I suggest you change the place buried to Oaklawn Cemetery, and copy the pics of the markers to your page. I'll submit an edit for the location of the marker, and wait to delete mine until the corrections are made. Neal Gardner
