I'm a second generation native Houstonian, and have been doing family genealogy intermittently for several years. What a gift we are leaving for future genealogists if they have availability to all the data that the F.A.G. family has contributed.|

|Lee Richards||RE: Daniel Bourne|
Thanks for the info. One of my family lines is the Chichester Family. Two brothers came to America in the early 1630's. In various legal documents of the time that were written by James Chichester HE spelled his name Chichester Chitester and Chetister within the same document.
Over the years, family members changed the spellings to Chichester, Chitister, Chetister, Chittister, Chedister, Chidister and various other versions. I have seen correspondence from some family members who refused to believe they were related to some of the other families with different spellings - until I sent them the proof. Interesting.
Of by the way, you mentioned that you declined my request twice. It seems that when you decline a request made on the "Suggestion Edit" a notice does not go to the initator so they don't know that you have declined it. That is why I sent the 2nd request.

First the reference to John's Memorial, Just a copy/Paste error - as I sent the same note for both Daniel and John as they were son of Corp Francis.
I also had this note added to Eliza Bourne (the daughter of Francis son Ambrose Dudley) who married Barzel Basil Riggs. Do you have any info on Ambrose's burial, as I think you are a descendant of Corp Francis.
I am a little confused on your explanation for your reluctance (but of course I will accept you decision). Regardless of whether he was born in KY or whatever I would think the issue should be whether or not he is a son of Corp Francis. Just because there maybe an error as to the birthplace on the DAR record that was submitted doesn't change that.
I will respect your decision, I am not related to the family, I am just trying to help future family members.

My grandmother was Katie McLain Jones. J.Cornelius McLain was my great grandfather on my mother's side. You have my permission to use any pictures of the McLain family you desire.
I heard a few stories about the old gentleman. Someone said that the family had a steamship line in Scotland. In the aftermath of World War I, it bankrupted. I have no way to verify it, but the story makes for interesting listening.
So good to hear from you.

I am doing research on Leonard Royal's family and was wondering if you would please send me a larger copy of her death cert. The one on her memorial is too small for me to read. I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks and best wishes

|Tommy Neumann||RE: Theresa Wood--Woodlawn, Houston, TX|
I don't think that Theresa Wood is a relative, but I have Wood ancestry, so it's possible. That's why I try to never overlook a Wood, if I can. My grandmother, Lillie Eliza Wood Thomas, Memorial# 135449377, is buried in Alice Fraternal Cemetery, Alice, TX. The Wood family, along with the Thomas family and numerous other families, moved from Tennessee to central Texas in the late 1860's, I believe.
How about you?
I was mentioning other photos I took. I have one that shows Theresa Wood's gravesite before I found her buried headstone. I didn't think it was appropriate to attach it to her Find-a-Grave memorial.

I've searched for this gravesite before without success. Today, I decided to poke around and found the grave marker completely covered with dirt and grass. Cleared the area and the marker is now uncovered. If you're interested, send a private message to my e-mail and I'll share other photos.
