I am a native Texan who currently resides in New York. As a creative writer, journalist, editor, and high school special education teacher in NYC, I find solace in visiting various cemeteries. Initially, my interest was merely in searching celebrity whereabouts. After I visited a few "famous graves" in surrounding areas, my love for being amongst the energy of people who have gone/passed on, albeit odd (for some), has been extremely fulfilling.

It is my hope that all people are afforded the common right and opportunity to have some sort of memorial displaying their epitaph. Regardless of whether a person was buried or cremated, this Website enables me to put into writing a brief synopsis of a deceased person's overall life that outlines with the mission of Find A Grave's public forum. Inasmuch, people, particularly those of Mixed-Race descent whom have paved the way for me in an array of different areas/genres, will have a chance to be noticed.

Through my contributions, I want the relatives of the deceased, especially those who are out-of-state, to find their loved ones and know that someone actually took the time to bring their remembrance forthwith to the public's eye.
