I have been a family genealogist for over 40 years and I am also a family historian. I began my genealogy journey because of my parents' large families. It was tough trying to keep all my aunts, uncles and cousins straight - I only had 41 aunts and uncles (including blood kin and by marriage) and close to 100 cousins when I was born.
