Bio

I am an active researcher of the Hittle family name in all of its variants and the family in all its branches. I would be thrilled to help in any way I can with questions about our Hittle heritage, which is quite nicely appreciable.

The best way to contact me is via my email: [email protected]

Another very good way is through the Huettel, Hüttel, Hittel, Hittle genealogy group on Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/groups/54636367110/

I live in Iowa, although I grew up in Indiana. I descend from the Hittles of Marshall County, Indiana. We find our roots in present day Columbia and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania.

"If you're Hittle, you're related" is an old saw I've heard nearly all my life. There is a great deal of veracity to that, but sometimes finding the link can be quite a challenge. However, it must be said that not all Hittles in the United States or Canada have Pennsylvania Roots. By far the largest portion of "us" do, but I am also hoping to make as many associations with the families of later immigrants as I can.

Most all Hittles can apply for and receive membership in both DAR and SAR if so desired. All of George Michael's Sr's sons have documented Revolutionary War service. I have found nearly all of John Peter's sons as well as Nicholas of 1764 arrival on the ship Boston.

Let me know if I can help in any way.
