|Lauren McKeon Jenkins||Rogers - Potter -- Fish -- Green?|
I am a newbie to genealogy and thrilled to find info on my ancestors here. I'm stuck at a point on my family tree where I have conflicting information and missing information with little to go on from later generations. My G-G-grandmother, Hope Clarinda Fish, born in Rhode Island in 1876 according to a family bible that has "Anna Green" on the cover. The bible lists only two things, Hope Clarinda's birth in 1876 and the marriage of Benoni Fish and Anna Green in 1876. Inside the bible was an old hand-typed genealogy of the Potter family that ends with Benoni Fish's generation (his grandmother was Delana Potter Rogers). It also has handwritten checks marks next to his name and his lineage with the notes "your direct lineage." However, I can find NOTHING about an Anna Green online (a few trees showing a Susan Green) and it appears that Benoni married a Julia Elizabeth Potter a few years later and many records show her as Hope Clarinda's mother. So perhaps Anna/Susan died and he remarried but this is one main area where I am stuck. I hesitate to dig any higher in the tree until I solve this mystery and know for sure who my ancestor is. I'd appreciate ANY information or suggestions -- thanks!

|Mike Margonis||Daniel Rogers|
I was wondering if you could help me. Is the Daniel Rogers who died in 1792 connected with Anna Rogers of Newburgh NY. She was the daughter of Daniel Rogers and Maria Brewerton. I'm thinking maybe it was her grandfather?
I appreciate any help.
Thank you so much for the transfer of Viola Peterson. Have a great day !!

|DJ999||Mary Rogers in Trinity Church|
I fulfilled all your Rogers requests at Trinity Church by Wall Street in NYC today. When I got to the Mary Rogers page you said someone had posted the wrong photo. The photo is correct. According to the church web site, the headstone marks the site of a vault and there are no other stones around so the vault is probably quite large. There is a small green marker under the stone that you can see in the photo. The marker is illegible but it probably says there is a vault there. According to the church records, the following people are buried there:
WADDELL, JOHN (FAM VLT HEADSTONE)

Re: the Thomas Mitchell family cemetery in Glocester.
I appreciate your stewardship in caring for the "electronic graves" of our ancestors Thomas Mitchell and his daughter Abby (Mitchell) Greene.
Thomas Mitchell is one of my favorite ancestors, having served as a fifer in the Rhode Island Continental Line Regiment through the entire Revolutionary War, including that horrible winter at Valley Forge.
You mention that the Greene family is your direct line relative. What a small world, as they are mine as well! We must be cousins.
Thomas Mitchell's daughter Abby Mitchell Greene (#19055468) is my GG Grandmother. My direct Greene family line is through her husband Welcome Greene.
Here is my direct Greene line , retaining the name Greene right to my mother:
Surgeon John Greene
Major John Greene
Welcome Greene m. Abby Mitchell above
Thomas Mathewson Greene
Dutee Thomas Greene
Dorothy Stewart Greene (my mother)
Are you also a descendant of Welcome and Abby (Mitchell) Greene? If so, we'd be 3rd cousins.

Abby Mitchell Greene (#19055468) was my GG Grandmother.
I was wondering if you would transfer management of her grave, and the others in that cemetery to me.

I am new to this but I am trying to put together my family "cemetery". How do I put the ones that you have listed into mine? This has been a wealth of information. Thank you.

|Norman Lawrence||Rogers family|
I am still trying to sort out and find further information about Jonathan Rogers who married Hannah Cobb. My visit to the Exeter Town Hall did not have the names of his or Hannah's parents listed nor their place of residence. Also noted that there is a Benjamin Rogers who married a Lucy Cobb listed in the same book, married by the same person. Is it possible that two brothers married two sisters?
