Bio

James Eaber (Ebb) Akridge was my great, great grandfather. (Page from family Bible shows this as correct spelling for his name. He had 3 other
brothers. James E. (Dan) Akridge was the oldest
son of Ebb and Susan Bradshaw Akridge. He was my
great grandfather. His second age son was Rufus
Albert Akridge, my grandfather who married Amelia
Wallace Bennett of the Aetna Grove area. She was a daughter of John Bennett. Rufus Albert and Amelia Wallace had two sons, James Lone (my father) and Guyle. James Lone married a Texas born lady by the name of Lucye Hargrove. My grandfather and grandmother moved to Texas in 1900 and he passed away in 1905. They were farmers between Oenaville and Belfalls, Texas. My
dad was only 13 years old when he came to Texas and about 18 when he dad passed away. Rufus Albert and Amelia Wallace are buried in the Oenaville cemetery (near Temple, Tx.) Aug. 30, 2006.
